Changing SEO Consultant or Service
July 11, 2010 by: SEO SpecialistsIt’s a daunting task changing SEO companies especially if you have some form of search engine placement. But it may be what you set out to achieve isn’t quite happening for you, and you don’t feel the online side of your business is living up to its full potential. There can be two reasons for this; either the company you instructed isn’t very good or you didn’t do what your consultant asked you to do. If its the latter its no good pointing the finger as its only going to happen again unless you open your cheque book nice and wide for someone to do the content aspect of any good SEO campaign.
More often than not what happens in the web development business is that clients simply started out by looking for someone to build a website for them. Often it starts with a friend of a friend or your local printer offering a web design service. After wondering why there is no business coming in from it or now being offered (outsourced SEO) clients are getting more familiar with the larger picture. Many of the SEO services offered online are outsourced to India, we get hundreds of emails every week asking “outsource your SEO” which we totally ignore. We know the failings and flaws in these services so don’t be fooled. I can assure you no website on Major keywords on Google UK that have Indian SEO Consultants. If I’m wrong please contact me and I’ll soon show where it’s lacking.
Don’t get me wrong but the language barrier isn’t the only problem because it doesn’t include understanding western thoughts (culture) or understanding our different terms used for the same thing, this is extremely important when targeting the correct keywords.
So now comes the daring move to approach a true SEO Specialist.
Unfortunately those of us in the know have to rip apart all the hard work put in by the previous developer. YES it will make you ”SICK AS A PARROT” - but at least we do have the medicine to cure it.
It’s painful to hear but the majority of websites out there are just awful, that’s why they don’t work and there are so many factors why the are so bad. Ironically what’s so hard for people is that they get so personal with their sites just like they do a their cars.. When you have a few site’s you soon realise they are just tools that are there to do a job.
The hardest part about moving to a SEO Specialist is the honest verdict, forget about your current position it’s only going to get better from here on.
The truth about SEO is that if it’s done correctly it will be the best value advertising your company will ever experience. If it’s done badly it’s costing you new business every day.. Are you prepared to wait?
