SEO & Google coming to a Television sometime soon

March 9, 2010 by: SEO Specialists

Google is apparently testing a new television programming search service in conjunction with a Dish Network. The service that appears to be under a testing phase will search content from the compatible programme guide and web services including the likes of YouTube..

Computer technology has been steadily steering towards the TV world and I could see the total integration of both services. I say bring on the day when we have 50″ TV/computers however with this i can see only one problem, everyone in the family will want one as our PCs are personal.

With consumer electronics now shifting toward connectivity there are huge opportunities for embedded systems developers. As it stands, most embedded devices use either a custom-built kernel or a modified version of BusyBox, but Google could theoretically offer a framework that would be both free and valuable for device makers, while also offering opportunities that impact Google’s core business.

Of course, this isn’t Google’s first venture into the TV marketplace. Back in 2008, Google AdWords launched Google TV Ads as a platform for companies to buy airtime. That project hasn’t been as successful as other Google ventures, but perhaps a more direct way of tying search to television would have better results.

Progression and the way information is gathered as well as the different uses, shows that Google are still well ahead of the pack when it comes to opening new opportunities as well as the marketplaces for businesses to consider.

So it’s going to be interesting how Google SEO will change, It looks certain that requirements and skills in TV advertising will become very important indeed.

It looks a good idea to book up for one of those directors courses now and hope you have the talent of Sachi and Sachi… Their shares suddenly look like a decent investment.
