Search engine optimisation offers specialist products and specialist services something quite different to conventional marketing. Up until search engines the only way to advertise these were generally through the local free ads and the yellow pages.. or engage in expensive large advertising campaigns that advertised to the masses hoping it would catch the eye of those who needed that specialist service.
Imagine a garage offering a custom pimp my ride type of service or a company selling refurbished turbos for Bentleys what better way to advertise than picking your target keywords and plonking your website full of relevant information on the first page of google straight in front of prospective clients or customers who are looking for the said service/product type.
There is high probability that the business will attract the enquiry.
With this in mind you would expect to hear the stampede of Specialist fighting to get on the first pages of Google yet it is “oh so quite”.
